Fishing

I received a letter in the mail from a realtor at the Alain Pinel Investment Group. He claims to have "a client who is extremely interested" in buying a property in our neighborhood. He would like to know if I "would entertain any offers." Curious. What is this person fishing for? Seems to me that there are plenty of properties, even near this admittedly wonderful location, for sale these days.
